Turkish Victory Monument at North Beach

There is an inscription on his headstone that reads : "He was killed here", although the actual event possibly took place 70 metres to the south where today the fountain and the souvenir stalls are found, in the middle of what was no-man's land.  The symbolic grave was probaly built at the spot where it can be found now right on the summit of Chunuk Bair to attract more attention.
