the village graveyard of Yalova a large number of Turkish soldiers are
buried. One of the soldiers can clearly be identified because of the
inscription on his headstone which reads :
“This
is the memorial of
Major Ali Zeynel
of Çırpan, Commander of the 14th Corps
Engineers, a Çanakkale Martyr. 1915”
